[KPFGH International Symposium]
ㅇ Purpose
- To promote international exchange and cooperation on health-related legislation, policy frameworks, and budgeting, while providing a platform for domestic dialogue on major global health policy issues.
ㅇ Expected Outcomes
- Share knowledge and best practices on key global health issues, including health security, infectious disease prevention and control, noncommunicable disease management, universal health coverage, ageing and care, health information technology, and digital health, and identify policy options that may inform health legislation in the Republic of Korea.
- Enhance the international standing of the Republic of Korea by strengthening the leadership role of the National Assembly in discussions on global health challenges and policy solutions.
- Support the development of policies that strengthen Korea’s role and leadership as Chair of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum on Global Health (APPFGH).
