[Visit to Tanzania]
ㅇ Date: 23–29 November 2019
ㅇ Purporse: To explore international cooperation and Korea’s role in combating HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria
ㅇ Key Activities:
- Monitored and evaluated Global Fund-supported programms.
- Conducted field visits related to malaria diagnosis and treatment procurement.
- Met with members of the Tanzanian Parliament and Government.
- Held consultations with malaria-control stakeholders, including civil society organizations.
- Visited KOICA and KOFIH-supported project sites.
[ Visit to Viet Nam]
ㅇ Date: 8–11 May 2019
ㅇ Purpose: To promote parliamentary cooperation between Korea and Viet Nam in the healthcare sector
ㅇ Key Activities:
- Met with the Chair of the National Assembly Committee on Social Affairs.
- Met with the WHO Representative Office in Viet Nam.
- Met with the ILO Office in Viet Nam.
- Met with Minister of Health.
- Participated in a seminar on population and development cooperation between Korea and Viet Nam.
